We exist to come alongside parents in our common goal of reaching youth for Christ. We also desire to give youth an opportunity to use their God-given talents which will encourage them to be disciples who make disciples.
I Timothy 4:12 "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." (NKJV)
This is our ultimate goal, to live out this verse we must raise the standard and not become satisfied. We desire to Be More, See More, and Do More for the Kingdom of God. Together, through the power of the Holy Spirit, encouragement and accountability from one another we will accomplish great things for the Kingdom of God in 2008. We are individually trusting God and putting in our own effort to overcome the areas of complacency in our lives. This can be an area of physical, mental or spiritual discipline.
Pastor Tim's personal physical goal is to lose between 20-40lbs in the next year. (I am 3lbs towards that goal already).
North Country Alliance Youth is a partner in the Clinton County Youth Network.
We, the Clinton County Youth Network, exist to be a living example of Jesus' prayer in John 17:20-23 (unity of believers) in our efforts to reach the youth in Clinton County. We recognize that ministry to youth is bigger than ourselves and the youth of our church. We desire to get our youth together for fellowship, encouragement, worship, outreach and fun. By getting our youth together they will be encouraged to meet other Christian teens and realize that there are more Christian youth in this area then simply those who attend their church. Working together we can accomplish much more for the Kingdom of God.
We accomplish this by:
1) Providing Youth worker training for area youth leaders
2) Meeting together for combined youth worship services every other month. Each church will take a turn hosting these events. A night that works best for all youth groups will be determined based upon input from Sr. Pastors, parents and the youth.
3) Joint Outreach events for the purpose of evangelism.
4) Joint youth activities. Our youth love getting together for fun, so we will combine our energy, ideas and resources to have some fun times together.
5) Regular meetings for area youth leaders to provide leadership to our combined events, encourage each other as youth leaders and have round-table discussions concerning youth ministry issues.
More details regarding the CCYN will be coming. Our first gathering will be in January, date and location TBA.
